Who is Pamela Morsi?

PamPamela, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, is native to a small Oklahoma oil boom town, but she's spent her adult life in several different places including the Middle East and Europe, and even Texas. After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and having received a Master of Arts in Library Science from the University of Missouri, Pam spent almost twenty years working in public, academic and medical libraries before becoming a full-time writer.

Childhood
A real tomboy from day one, Morsi spent her girlhood days climbing trees, digging dirt, and running wild from dawn till dusk. She always wanted to be a writer. As a young girl crying in church, she confessed the terrible sin to her pastor's wife that she made up stories. This was just the beginning.

Humble Beginnings
March 12, 1988, Pamela hit a crisis point in her life. It was her birthday. She lay in her bed in tears, crying to her husband that she was getting older and life was passing her by. "I could have been a writer!" After what seemed hours of trying to comfort her, her husband set up a table and a computer in the corner of their bedroom and said, "There. Write your blank book or shut the blank up about it."

The Writer
When Pamela Morsi stepped into the world of publishing in 1991 with her first book Heaven Sent, she received immediate attention from both readers and industry leaders across the country. Since then, she has delivered nothing less than one bestseller after another. Her engaging story lines and distinct writing style have consistently placed her books on both the mass market charts and the romance bestseller lists at USA Today, Waldenbooks and Barnes & Noble.

Trademark wit and first rate humor set Pamela apart in the industry. Straight from the Heartland of America, Pam spins heartwarming stories of Small Town USA. Critics say that Morsi is an expert at crafting genuine characters that simply come alive with down-home charm.

With a perfect balance of sweet innocence and earthy passion, Pamela's books recapture the essence of rural America in the days of carousels, country dances and the simple pleasures—home, church, strong family values—and she records with amusing accuracy the delightful scandals that cause small town gossips to roar.

Family Life
In 1996 Pam's husband and best friend, who'd encouraged her writing and shown steadfast support, passed away after a long illness. In March of 2002 she married for the second time. Bill is a retired geophysicist who builds furniture, makes pottery, weaves rugs, and lately has taken up proofreading long manuscripts with lots of misspelled words. Pam declares herself the luckiest woman alive. "Two great guys in one lifetime. I'm sure I never deserved this."

As a team, Pam and Bill claim six children and four grandchildren.
